Sisters. (Oh, and welcome back!)

So it's my turn to post the sister updates for the week. We're trying to start a tradition, you can see the inaugural week here at Rachel's blog. There was some concern as to whether or not I still had a blog so that I could participate in the rotation, and I assured all that I did in fact still have a blog, though I'm sure I have no readers, so this may only be seen by a select few. I've been thinking a lot about this blog, and I want to keep it going, but I need to make some changes to it so that I feel like it's actually representative of me, and not just some front I've thrown up on the internet. So, that being said, I'm not wanting to make some big announcement of my return only to let people down again, but it's possible that I will be slowly adding more to this here blog. Anyway, let's get onto the interesting stuff, shall we?

SARAH

Last week's agenda:
- sent Scott and The Lower Lights off on tour - prepped all the merch - tshirts, patches, buttons, cds, made signs, itineraries, spreadsheets, bought snacks, etc.
- lost my voice
- pulled an all-nighter to finish a work project (actually to start and finish a work project that the group thought I'd started a week ago)
- made it to 6am yoga twice - very sore!
This week's agenda:
- aiming for 3 days of yoga
- make some plans for Scott's bday
- rooftop planning meeting - we'll nail down the lineup and start coordinating with volunteers
- feed the ducks
- maybe buy these shoes with my leftover xmas credit?
- figure out our east-coast trip

ANNEE

Last week's agenda:
- Got my hair repaired!! It was long over due and a lovely day at the salon. And in the end was blessed with two lovely days of salon styled hair. It was heavenly.
- Substitute taught all day Thursday and Friday
- Took Henry to Cirque Eloise at UNC memorial hall. I imagine it was similar to what a Cirque do Soleil performance would be like. It was so excellent that Darin and George went back the very next night.
- I needed to added a bonus forth item, only because I think it’s pretty awesome that so far I had accomplished all that I had stated from last week. Saturday I managed to run a 10-mile long run!! The weather was gorgeous I even got a little bit sunburned on my nose. Which makes me super hopeful that spring is on it’s way! Also hopeful that if you write down things that you want to accomplish, it might actually contribute to your ability to accomplish them. Who would have thought it!
This week's agenda:
- No substitute teaching. It’s Darin’s spring break, so I’m taking the week off too!!
- Have fun hosting Ie Li and kid
s at our house for a few days. Nothing is more happy for me than to be close enough to family that we can have regular visits together. Mi Na is coming to my house!!!
- More sewing. Last week I only managed to make it out to the sewing garage once, maybe twice. I hope Ie Li and I will do a dress sew-along while she is here. I’m looking forward to it.

IE LI

Last week's agenda:
- 2 out of 6 P90X workouts (this is an improvement over the week before)
- kids' swimming lessons and preschool
- hung three wall hooks, two in the entryway for bags and one in my kitchen for aprons
- enjoyed three days of sunshine and warmth
- a carousel ride and cupcakes with Mei Li for Friday's girls' night
- a long overdue date with Steve on Saturday at a nearby Thai restaurant. It was nearly as good as Minh's kitchen in LC.
This week's agenda:
- Monday's P90X workout
- kids' swimming lessons and preschool
- visit Annee in NC and sew something together! (this will take up the majority of the week)

RACHEL

Last week's agenda:
- We saw The Adjustment Bureau. It was interesting. May have been better if we weren't in the front row... Oops.
- I finished Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (SO good, and furthered my fascination with WWI & WWII). I started and almost finished Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers. Annee you're right, that book must be taken in small doses.. weird.
- Ken and I got free tickets to Stars On Ice from one of his co-workers at the courthouse. Floor/ON THE ICE tickets. Crazy, random and awesome.
- Did I mention that I broke
my iPhone screen again? Sad.
This week's agenda:
- Go to the temple on Friday or Saturday.
- Buy tickets for our April trip to Utah. SO excited!
- Make Red Pepper Risotto again per Ken's request. Making dinner is most fun when he asks for something specific.
- Read The Curtain Bible which I received this weekend and make a plan for my kitchen windows.

CHRISTINE

Last week's agenda:
- dinner with Hillary, Beth, and Addie
- worked a shift at Anthropologie (yes, I do in fact still work there, I work so infrequently, though, that I actually enjoy every time I do get to work)
- snowboarding at Park City followed by a visit to the Midway ice castles
This week's agenda:
- take Individual Taxes exam
- grade Jr Core midterms
- check off at least one more item on the Utah Bucket List (the countdown is on until my move away from Utah)
- finally make my return to yoga
- try not to eat out for a full week (starting.... tomorrow?)

That's all! Maybe next time we'll see an appearance from Ana and mom!

PS - I attempted to add in some formatting and styling, but every time I published the post it all disappeared, so I guess I still have some learning to do with this blog.

Sarah, you're 3am bedtime and 6am yoga classes sound really awful. Those shoes look cute.

Ie Li, see you soon!

Rachel, love your wall of trays. Can't wait to come see your place. Thanks for the new recipe. Is it good all on it's own? Or do you need to make something to go with it? Ditto on your book reviews. The Potato Pie club book was sweet. Stiff was so weird, still I totally listened to the whole thing.

CZ I never went to any ice castles when I lived in Utah, neither did I know that one might complice a Utah specific bucket list. What else have you not done?!

This is great! I love seeing you guys all together in one place :)

You all look great!

Sarah, you're amazing for accomplishing so much.

Annee, I still have to find my pattern for our sewing party!

Rachel, I love your dresser tray wall collage so much. Good job!

Christine, good luck on your test and good for you for enjoying your last couple months in Utah.

Oh and I already missed Monday's workout. Maybe I'll make up for it tonight?

Sarah -- starting and finishing a project in an all-nighter, eating chips & salsa for dinner, organizing snacks and road trips... I know turning 35 is a big deal but are you regressing to behavior of your early 20's to cope?? ;-)

Is it warm enough to feed the ducks?

Also, BUY THOSE SHOES!!! They look so you.

Annee - your hair looks great!! I am in the same hair situation, haven't gotten it done since the wedding. And haven't found a place out here so I guess I'll just get it done next time I'm in UT. That'll be 5 months!! Ew.

I'm jealous of your feeling of running accomplishment. And jealous you get a visitor! I wish we could do a weekend down there soon.

Ie Li - Do you like P90X? Does it "work" (whatever that means)? How long is each workout? Maybe we should try it out.

CZ - Uh can you post pictures of the Ice Castle? Should you post your bucket list? Can I check one off with you in April? Good luck not eating out... OR eat at all the UT restaurants you love before you leave them forever.

We haven't been very consistent with our workouts, but I have noticed that I am a lot stronger than I was.

Plus, since I'm still nursing, I am still ten pounds over my normal weight, and those pounds which will stick around until Mi Na is weaned.

The workouts are about an hour long, but yoga is 90 minutes long. Ab ripper x is only 15 minutes, but that is usually done after an hour long workout.

Bottom line, I'm not sure if it is working or not, but I do enjoy the workouts and I am noticing more muscle tone and strength in my arms. It's definitely a fun couple's bonding experience. :)

CZ, you are wearing my favorite sweater of yours. The one that I borrowed for a month after the wedding. I was hoping that was one that you never really wore anyway, so that you would want me to have it back :) It's the perfect color to accent so many different outfits.

I'm so far behind - finally just going over all this today. What a treat to hear the specifics from each of you all together like this.

So far my week's goals are proving to be overly ambitious. Maybe I'm still recovering from last week.

Annee - your haircut is great - I'm totally jealous and slightly inspired to do something about my hair soon. And I love your front porch - so picturesque. I saw my first crocuses sprouting yesterday, so I have hope Spring is coming here too.

Ie Li - you are brave to go on that trip by yourself. I hope the drive goes well and that you have a nice time. Visiting Annee sounds like a great distraction. I'm impressed with your P90X routines and that you have Steve on board too. Are you guys doing the protein shakes/meal side of it too?

Rachel - yes, your dresser tray wall is great. I can't believe you're reading so much. Is it all from audible.com? What do you do while you listen? Have you tried any of the recipes from that new slow cooker book? I'm a little overwhelmed by all the choices.

Christine - PLEASE SHARE YOUR UTAH BUCKETLIST!!!!! I can't believe how fast time is going and how soon you will be leaving. This is truly the end of an era for us. I guess until Henry comes out for college in 8 years?

I wonder what Mom & Ana have been up to.

Love you all.

No, we are not doing the P90X diet. Maybe we will someday, but for now, I'm happy to make the nursing excuse.

Hey - hope you don't mind I'm reading your sisters update. What a great way to keep in touch! You are all so amazingly talented and accomplished. It's inspiring to read about your family and get some ideas for my own. Also after seeing all your stylish outfits I'll know what to look for next time I shop! Thanks!
