School, School, School, and More School

This is me right this very moment. Can you see the boredom on my face? Can you see the tiredness in my eyes? Can you see how I'm about ready to give up on school and just go play everyday? Well that's how I feel right now, sitting here in the wonderful Tanner building.

We're coming up on finals this next week, and let me tell you, my professors really like to pile it on at the end. I don't have much time for anything else at all, hence the reason for the lack of new posts. I really am sorry for that, I've just been so consumed with projects and homework and studying and blah, blah, blah. Oh well, at least it's almost over. Next Friday at 10AM I'm free for two weeks, that sounds wonderful!! Then maybe I'll give you some better updates on my life. Until then, just know that I'm sorry.

Happy Birthday Nate!!

Nate's birthday was a few weeks ago. After thinking I had failed by not planning anything amazing for the day, I thought it would be fun to go on a motorcycle ride. It was a great fall day, and lucky for us, I have a really cool brother-in-law who's into bikes and all. So we headed out and had a fun ride around for a couple hours. I've come to really like motorcyles, I actually think it's a lot of fun to go on rides, as long as they're not too fast.

After driving around Provo a little we headed up the canyon to South Fork. Unfortunately the leaves were kind of past their prime color time, but it was still really nice up there.

After our motorcycle ride we went for a delicious dinner at Tucanos, then met up with Nate's brother (who has the same birthday, twins) and a group of their friends to go laser tagging. I can't remember the last time I played laser tag, but it was a lot of fun and I didn't do too bad in the end, I think I ended up fifth out of the group of sixteen. After laser tag we came back to my house and continued to play games. Overall it ended up being a wonderful day. Happy Birthday Nate!! I hope it's been a great year!

Craft Nights

We have started a tradition in our house of weekly Craft Nights. It all came about when Beth, Addie and I visited a local vintage shop and found many things which we loved, but were absurdly overpriced. We then decided that most of the things we liked, we could actually make ourselves, and with that Craft Night was born. We've only had two so far, but hopefully there will be many more to come.

Our first night we made hair accessories, namely feather headbands.

The second night was decorative letters. We got wood letters and then covered them with cool papers. Here are all of our first initials. We're planning on arranging them in a cool way over our fireplace so it doesn't look like we're trying to spell something out.

We've had a little hiatus from our craft nights due to busy schedules, but hopefully they will resume soon with some fun creations.
